Well, yeah, that's what I mean, he may smoke one cig from time to time but that doesn't make him a heavy, or even a regular smoker.
And it's not like there are pictures and video footage all over the Internet.
I think people are way too harsh on smokers. I do find it annoying to have smokers with me, mostly because you always have to go out in the cold when they want to have a smoke... But I find drinking far more annoying, and yet you don't get those strong condemnations about people who drink. Actually, it's rather the reverse: popular wisdom is that a person who doesn't drink is boring and has no life, and as a non-drinker, I am constantly subjected to mockery and told that I must have a very dull life, etc.
Don't see why players getting drunk at parties should be widely accepted while smoking would be such a shame.

However consuming alcohol an X number of hours before a match SHOULD be banned. Someone posted a youtube clip of some mug player trying to play a serious challenger/futures match obviously drunk. Can't have been great for the people who actually bought tickets to watch the match
