Default Guga in Barcelona

Guga starts the tournament on monday playing doubles with Zabaleta vs Gambill/Haggard. It´s the last match on center court.
Does anybody know anything about Haggard? I never heard of him before. Is he a doubles specialist?

Guga please win some matches in Barcelona and get some confidence!!

Zabaleta is not playing well. He lost first round in Monte Carlo vs Davydenko and I also don´t remember good results from the time before. Maybe he and Guga can help each other But as they are good friends they should at least have some fun

Gambill and Haggard play lots of doubles but not 'that' double specialist and I believe clay is not the best surface for both.

Guga has a GREAT workout today in Barcelona. Down 4-6 in 1st set, he and partner Zabaleta fought hard to even the match at 1-1 winning 2nd set TB 9-7 and finally won the match in 3rd, breaking their opponent at the 10th game to win the set and match 6-4. Returning the favour when they served the 10th game in 1st set and was broken.

Go Guga Go

Guga's singles opponent tomorrow, T. Johansson, spent about an hours on court in his singles match today. Hopefully, Guga will not be too tired after today's doubles match. He spent almost doubles Johansson's time.

I´m glad Guga and Zabaleta showed the fighting spirit to win such a tight match. This should give him a bit confidence in critical situations. I think being tired should not be a big problem as a two hour doubles match probably isn´t as tiring as a two hour singles match. But I still keep my exspectations low

I hope so! I hope this will give him some rhythm

And Claudia, have you read those threads about Coria's injury? Rainer for not breaking him in 3rd set when he had 3 bps.
