I can't really predict anything concrete for GS's, what with the winner getting 1000 points etc. I'm seriously crap at it.

Ahead of him:
#1 Hewitt has 1000 points to defend. Tommy is over 1000 points behind him. Still, anything but another win would put tommy closer.
#2 Safin is roughly 200 points ahead, and has 450 SF points to defend. An early loss by him and a good run from tommy (poor shoulder tho) would swap them over.

Behind him:
#4 Kafelnikov has 450 SF points on the line, and is miles behind Tommy. No threat.
#5 Henman has 75 to defend. He should get more but only really high points would get us worried,
#6 Agassi has 250 QF points. I don't have the draw in my memory so I spose he could do a lot better.

thanks Sonic!

i hope Haas can step up his play again in Long Island this year as the defending champ. he played so well last year to take out Pete Sampras. and he can certainly gain points at the USO, cuz he only has 4th round points to defend! and we know he'll do way better than that!:D

good good! :) Well I ve just carried on reading Of mice and men and realised Lennie kills Curleys wife and George shoots Lennie! I think Slim is cool!lol.I feel quite good today but soon I have to go to bed. :(

#19 ·
yah, we already had our exam on Of Mice and Men. i hated the book, but still i scored a 91! :D

my fave character was Curley's wife. i thought she was really caring and sympathetic, not really the slut that all the farmers thought she was. i also liked Slim, he was very wise indeed. have you seen the movie with Jon Malcovich (spelling?) and Gary Sinese (spelling?) ? we watched a bit of it in class...good acting...but just as boring as the book!lol!

#20 ·
or did you like the book?

i thought the ending was so depressing! :(

#21 ·
well i dont think much happened really,it wasnt exciting.I didnt think it was that depressing when George shot him,it was a suprise tho!I didnt really like Lennie,I thought he was stupid!
