I have another romantic query. Recently, I've been in more than one situation where I've met two people on a tennis court. One is a very cute girl while the other is a guy I'm taking care of on the court.
Now, my problem is thus. It is clear to me from the girl's body language (swaying hips, batting eyes at me, smitten voice) that she is single and the guy is just a friend to her. I want to ask her straight up: "Are you single?" but I don't know if the other guy is trying to get with her and I might come off as a cockblock or a girl thief.
Or, worst case scenario, the two are dating and I have to turn on my humble button: "Well he's a lucky guy. I wish you two nothing but happiness and awesome sex."
Body language can be used in deceptive ways with ulterior motives. Anyway the solution is asking. The girl stealing thing is total BS if they havent made clear there is a relationship but if that's your worry ask him.

Why not just ask if they're together? She'll either say yes or respond "He's just a friend/gay guy/brother/etc" and you get your answer.
Don't worry about cockblocking the guy...if the girl would tell you that she's single right in front of him, then he is in the friend zone anyway and has no shot.
Hopefully she says you can have sex with her, but only if he also joins. This is actually a good way for a girl to get her gay friend laid with a straight guy. Why have I never thought of this!?

What you need to do is just ask them something like "Hey how long have you two been dating?" And if they ain't together they'll just laugh it off and you'll know.
Offer a threesome and the only cockblocked will be that girl (or blocked by cocks eventually).
edit - oh I didn't read the responses, Garson got that one too  but, yeah, in the world of nature attractive girls choose their sexual partners themselves (even the animals - the male ones fight each other... imagine how species would be dying if a strong proud lion had to withdraw from a lioness because some whimp with a broken tail saw her first)
