It's amazing that France has not had a No. 1 or 2 ranked player since 1973 when the rankings started. They've always had lots of good players.

So you regards Navratilova's 18 singles slams as Czechoslovakian? If we make a list of how many slams won by each nation that is where you would place them?
I don't have a problem with that in the slightest. It's a consistent standard, that can be easily recorded, and we don't have to muddle through nationality changes.

And you also don't erase records of players born in a particular country.
