Tomorrow (Friday) @ 1.30 gmt, 2.30 central! This will be a tight match indeed ... my guess (hope you dont mind ):
Andreev has been playing very strongly in the last few tournies, having gone 6-1 in the last two (this one and French), also skipping over Ferrero and Agassi. On the other hand, Hewitt has been rather weak (even though he has been advancing, overal weak and unsteady performances), however he is the three-time champ in the tournament. My assumption: The match really dpends on Andreev's play. If he plays good he will win. Therfore: Andreev will take it in two sets, winning the first and third, h
hULLO eVeRyOne!!! This is the first time I get here into Igor's thread, and that's because I'm sortta new on the Forum, dunno where have I been all these years...
Anyways, I'm following him since Roland Garros, so I don't consider myself a big fan, but I'm really in love with his game, so I guess it's great that I catched a couple of his matches in RG and obviously now I'm following him on TV's coverage of Queens.
Ahhh, Igor's just lost to Lleyton. He had a really good chance in the 2nd set when he was leading, but... Lleyton was more confident and stronger today.
Igor has plenty of chances and he beat Agassi and he made the 4th round at RG, he will keep on improving his results this year and once he works on a few things, he has a good future if there are no major injuries.
OH well ... he didnt play his best tennis at all today which is a shame, but I guess it happenes once in a while. Even though he is out of the tournie, I think he'll move up the ranking once again ... overall a good tournament, as it was his first on a grass.
i think lleyton improved his game and igor had difficulties to make the big points and he made a lot of unforced errors... but he played well on his first grass tournament! and losing against lleyton isnt bad as losing against gasquet... hehe
Igor won his forst round match at Rosmalen very comfortably - something like 6-1 6-4 against Peter Wessels. In the second round he will face either Sjeng Schalken or Mario Ancic.
I think Andreev will get a win over Ancic and looking at my signature its obvious who I want to win Andreev did beat Ancic earlier in the year at Scottsdale on a hard court 4-6 7-6 6-4 so leads the encounters 1-0.
