He is from Moscow, he went to Spain as a youngster just like Safin. I am not sure if he trained with Mensua as well. I think he did I am not sure.
He speaks Russian, Spanish and English fluently and had an excellent record in the challengers and beat Davydenko and Schalken last year on the main tour.
Hello! It's my first post here
If you understand Russian you can visit my website about Igor. http://igor-andr.narod.ru
Could anyone help me to contact Igor? It would be really appreciated!
Thanks!
Tanya
I can't believe it!!! I'm soooo happy!!!!!!! Igor won against Ferrero at Roland Garros.
He played really very well from the begginning!!! It was great...
He will now face the french Julien Benneteau in the 3rd round!!!
Hope he beats him as well!!! lol
Yeah! I can't believe, too I'm very-very happy!!! But I'll be even more happy if Igor finally write me an e-mail
I think Julien Benneteau will be a tough opponent. He plays very well this week. In the 1st Round of Roland Garros he defeated Max Mirnyi.
Angel, have you seen Igor's match? I hoped that Russian sport channel would broadcast it, but it prefered to show Marat' match
I found some pictures of Igor from the 2nd round match. I'll add them on site on Friday.

Yes i think benneteau will be very hard to beat and he's playing at home as well but we'll have to see that tomorrow i guess...
Yeah i saw almost the whole match...(actually from the half of the 2nd set til the end) I had it on eurosport (the greek eurosport). In the beggining they also showed Marat's match but then they saw Ferrero was losing and i guess they thought that was more interesting...the Roland Garros Champion losing badly in front of a 20 year old barely known...
Igor won against Julien Benneteau in 3 sets: 7-6 (3) 7-6 (3) 6-3 !!!!!
Once again he played really well!!! Benneteau was leading but Igor was really cool during the tie breaks and did a great match!
He will now face Gaston Gaudio on monday... I guess that should be a bit more complicated but he did after all beat Ferrero...
Well done Igor! you're the best! continue like that!!!!! :bigclap:
It was a truly outstanding performance he had against Ferrero. He doesn't have the greatest technique in the world but this kind of power was too much for the Spaniard. Although Ferrero wasn't completely fit he was still one of the favourites, they played his kind of tennis and Andreev beat him at that! I was like..wow.. He must have been unter a lot of pressure because of Ferrero's record but didn't drop a single set. Very impressive, I like him now and hope he does well.
Igor lost unfortunately against Gaudio 6/4, 7/5, 6/3
Igor played well as usual but the problem was that he committed too many mistakes! 65 while Gaudio did 28 errors.
But otherwise Igor had 34 winning points to 15 for Gaudio. But overall Gaudio was better in defence...
Anyway it has been a good Roland Garros for Igor even if he lost today! Lets hope he'll continue like this!!!
After his great performance at Roland Garros, Igor is playing in the London this week. He will face Richard Gasquet in the 1st round!!! Hope he wins!!!
Go Igor!
Good luck ;-)
