Forget the overrated clowns like Murray and Del Potro. From what I've seen in USO, Nole is back in business and hungrier than ever. He didn't beat Rafa (who was on fire), but he made a statement when he beat Federer saving 2 match points and reaching his first slam final since the AO win. His serve is getting better, the groundstrokes are amazing and it seems he's finally focusing full time on tennis. I am certain he will win his second grand slam next year, probably AO or USO. Count on it.

I am so hoping he will win his second slam in 2011.

I really hope so, been supporting him for a long time now and he's had some disappointing finishes this season. I was afraid he was going to fail again this USO after having such a hard time against Troicki(sp?). But since I saw him play against Federer I have alot of faith in the guy again, should be more agressive from time to time (going to the net more often) and should improve his serve like Nadal did.

Excellent bump! Thread started just over one year ago, after Nole's win over Fed at the USO semi 2010. Cited in hindsight by Djokovic himself as one of the major turning points leading to his amazing run this year.

Time to give a bit of credit...

wrong

he will win three

[Excellent job though!]

. Neither player can touch Fed and his incredible acheivements. Oh well both will be back to retiring in the AO as per usual. Seems as though the djokotards are accepting 2nd best. Its embarrasing really.

Nole aint winning a slam at all next year.

My predictions for him?

A0 - Retiring in the QF vs Murray (5th seed) or Isner
FO - 4th round lose in 5th to some spanish claycourt specialist
Wimby - semi loss in straights to Fed (im being to generous here)
US - Semi loss to murray in 4. Looking exhausted every point, like normal.

Djokotards can dream i guess
Indisputably the best series of predictions ever. :worship:

Makes Cabbage look like a prophet by comparison.

I'm sure nole will win a slam at least
:yeah: nice

I think he will also. He showed in the US Open that he is still confident of his shots and can push around anyone in the world. he showed tremendous heart as well. It's only a matter of time before he wins a slam next year.
:yeah: Credit to Everko as well, who paused his clowning for a moment to agree with an excellent prediction.

Nole will win USO in 2011. Ajde.
Right on! :yeah:

Will win both AO and USO.
Beautiful! Even better! :hatoff:

only rafa and del potro will win slams in 2011

No, only Rafa and Roger.

He has no chance in Europe and the AO is too hot to handle. With only one realistic shot at a slam, the odds will be high.
Sorry Mjau, wrong on almost all counts.

But most of all, Topspindoctor does indeed deserve special props for kicking off this excellent prediction. It seemed bold or unrealistic to some, but you were dead on! Well-done! :yeah:

i think novak needs to get his nostrils enlarged... i just think it will help air intake... he seems to have a problem with this... its difficult to watch sometimes... i think he mouth is big enough but his nostrils could use some work... it is a 3% difference such as this that could be the diffence between a 6/4 7/5 6/3 win over nadal and a 6/2 6/0 6/1 win over nadal... and i know which win i would like... with these improvements i predict novak wins 0 grand slams for 2011...

with win over fed at usopen semis, djooker has completed the full circle that started way back in 2007 when he dully played his role in upstaging the kiss-ass atmosphere made around the wanna-be-goat. it is totally understandable that young, troubled individual got fazed for a while by all that web of deceit, and retracted to his juvenile clap-hug shell. sadly, other guy in that equasion layed an egg in 2009, so fed was allowed to win RG. fortunately, that will be in vane, since rafa will trump feds numbers anyway. its written in stone.

as for djokovic, he will win many more slams cause hes simply that good:shrug

Mods should merge this with the Rafole thread in non tennis. This is ridiculous. The rafatards just like Nole, cos he bent over for him in New York

Fedtards in this thread are an absolute embarrassment

Let's get some facts straight - Djoker came into USO having 7-3 HC record over Nadal (easily winning last 3 meetins), next he was in USO final before, so Rafa was more nervous about his first final there. Lastly, the match was quality, lights out tennis (unlike some Fed's finals in 2003-2007, beating mugs like Phillopousis ) and Nole duly congratulated Rafa on the win. The guy has class, unlike Federer who breaks down in tears like an 8 year old girl who dropped her ice cream after losing in a slam final or making excuses after being outplayed (See: Soderling, Berdych matches).

Finally regarding the RG 2010, Nole lost because his fitness was bad, not because Melzer did anything special, he just hung around and got lucky.

:spit: it was obvious from the very first point that Nole was already happy to hang out there, he finally took that monkey off his shoulders by beating Fed in semis, he could then freely witness and enjoy his best pal Rafito grabbing the calendar slam...

yes, the 2003-06 era itself was a big joke........philippoussis at his very best served and volleyed his shit out all through the mid and late 90s, just for one slam final which he lost to pat rafter very rightly.......other than that he couldn't even crack one slam semifinal.......it's of no surprise that he was in his last strides and yet made a slam final in 2003 when no one was around.......

No need to argue and state the obvious. The rackets will do all the talking in 2011!!!!!!! I love when people write Nole off and think of him as a pigeon of Federer!!!!! We know what happened a month or so ago when he was written off?????? As the mighty Fed said: Those who wrote Novak off, don't know anything about tennis!!!!!!!
