Bruno is another great doubles player from Belo Horizonte, as well as Melo and Sá. He has always been a promising player, but many injuries almost made him quit tennis. Fortunatelly he had the head to stay on it and now it's paying off, with several great runs at doubles, which has always been his strong. In 2009 he will be partnering Ullyett full time and we can expect them at London for the YEC. Also a great guy, which is always good to see.

A couple of photos from practice today. I will possibly end up with more as I keep bumping into him practicing.

Australian Open Draw - Bruno/Kevin quarter:

Soares & Ullyett [BRA/ZIM, 7] vs. Benneteau & Serra [FRA]
De Voest & Fisher [RSA/AUS] vs. Devilder & Mathieu [FRA]
Knowle & Melzer [AUT] vs. Fish & Isner [USA]
Ferrer & Gimeno-Traver [ESP] vs. Damm & Lindstedt [CZE/SWE, 11]

Parrott & Polasek [USA/SVK, 15] vs. Andreev & Stakhovsky [RUS/UKR]
R. Ram & Reynolds [USA] vs. Vemic & Zovko [SRB/CRO]
Cañas & Safin [ARG/RUS] vs. Feeney & Smeets [AUS, WC]
F. Gonzalez & Hood [CHI/ARG] vs. Bryan & Bryan [USA, 2]

They could go far here. Most likely a 3rd round against Damm/Lindstedt which would be a pretty hard match.

Vamos Bruninho and Kevin :)
