Help: How to watch the AO with a roommate?

Over here, the AO matches go on in the middle of the night, but I really want to watch them. When I was at home, I just set an alarm and woke myself up, but I can't wake my roommate up at 3am everyday. How do you guys handle situations like this?
And how do you keep up with work during the AO? Help please. I don't want to miss out.

Drug your roommate so he passes out.

Use a laptop, lower the brightness of the screen and watch in bed with headphones. Waking up in time without waking roommate could be an issue though. Have to use some special alarm or sleep with headphones on and have a alarm on the computer OR just adjust your entire sleeping cycle so you go to bed much earlier and waking up about 3-4am becomes normal

Alarm with headphones is perfect! I'll definitely do this at least for the semis and finals.

For a Yankee, AO is probably similar to what USO is for a Finn, matches start in early evening and last until the morning. How I watch the USO is that I start watching first matches of the day and continue until I gotta go to bed. And if I lived in da States, I'd probably do that with AO. But AO SFs and F are evening matches unlike in USO; I'd probably change my sleeping rhythm before semis so that I go to bed early and wake up for those matches.

But how not to disturb your roommate? I once shared a flat with another guy but we luckily had different rooms so at least watching couldn't disturb him, and he never complained about my alarm clock ringing in the middle of the night. But if you're watching TV/computer screen in the same room, that can be disturbing for some people. But if it really disturbed her, it'd show she's a tennis fan also, and if she didn't care about tennis, it wouldn't disturb her. But if she ain't a tennis fan, I'd be more worried about if she'd prevent going to sleep early. But if she didn't allow you to sleep in early evenings, don't then let her sleeep in early mornings.

Book a hotel room for your roommate and pay for her to stay there. Problem solved.
I'd rather book the hotel room for myself.

If you don't have exams during those weeks, take a two week holiday of sorts, get away from uni (book an hotel room or something) and change your sleeping patterns, easy :)

lure one of your mates into seducing her; that way she'll sleep over to your friend's place for the entire AO duration only to get brutally dumped the day after the final.

That would actually be a great idea if she wasn't in a girl's uni ie no guys around

well he must have some mates who are not living in the student accommodation

If you referred to Lenders' post, he was talking about one who studies in a girl's uni. If that one was he, he'd be a lucky one.

How to watch the AO with your roommate? Well, if your computer has a screen big enough and your Internet is fast enough, I don't see a problem with watching it together from the same screen

Well if you want to wake up and watch do it. Set the alarm, and wake up, turn the TV on very low volume, or watch on computer with headphones. You can be quiet enough that the other thing that might bother her would be the alarm which is over in a few seconds anyway. I think she can deal with that.

As for getting it to work with your schedule, it depends on where you are and what your schedule is like. Here the AO starts at 8:30 PM so I don't have the waking my roommate up problem when it comes to the beginning of the Australian day. I usually try to schedule classes grouped together and fairly early(though not too early as then I have the rest of the semester when I hate waking up early ), then come home and get my sleep in in the afternoon, obviously if your classes are spread out this won't work and you're either left with skipping class or skipping tennis, or if the class is bigger then you could bring a laptop to class and watch during class with no volume. I used to do this all the time watching hockey when I had a night class with over 200 student in it.
