Re: Summer Hardcourt & Olympics
This is it. Couldn't hold back the tears after it ended.
Thank you, Andy, for all those years of being a proud fan of yours. Hard to imagine following ATP without Andy on tour, but life moves on, and I have lots of fantastic memories.
Will miss you, Andy. Happy retirement!

Re: Summer Hardcourt & Olympics
It has been pain and pleasure though the years, to be a fan of Andy Roddick. A lot of times it was so damn hard. But it has always been an honor! Let's hope that now, in the end, he will get the respect he deserves.

Re: Summer Hardcourt & Olympics
I'm still so incredibly numb. I can't believe we have seen Andy play his last match on the ATP tour. He's given me so many memories and I'll miss him and miss rooting for him. Andy didn't get the respect he deserved while playing but I think as this day loomed closer that people realized just how long Andy has carried the men's game for the US.
I hope he has a wonderful and fulfilling post-retirement career.

Every single word of THIS. So much respect for JMDP, he was pure class after the match. And, also for the people I've met or "met" because of Andy, including Andy himself and many fans here at MTF and at the old RoddickRocks fan site (and also, Mandy Moore). The last ten years have been one heck of a ride. Thanks Andy, don't be a stranger.

Re: Summer Hardcourt & Olympics
I don't know what to say. If only Andy really knew how many people's lives he influenced by bringing them into the sport & the friends they would thus meet & experiences had, it is more than just playing/watching a game & I have learned that over the better part of the last decade.
I actually got to see Andy play live once & it was because of another great Andy fan: Fee & her graciousness, so thankful for that, for all the great Roddick fans and all the years we've all had here together because of that jerk, Andy.
We couldn't have asked for anyone better.

Re: Summer Hardcourt & Olympics
What a roller-coaster. From the highs of 2003/04 to the lows of 2005/06 back to the high of 2009/10 to the low of late 2010 onwards.
I'll miss you Andy.

A clip of Andy hitting tennis balls again. I don't know about you, but my heart still refuses to accept that he is not on tour anymore.
Myabe it is time for post retirement threat?
