No Nico in the doubles draw yet again.

What the heck is going on???

:banghead:

Please Someone Up Above - yeah Nico needs someone nice as a coach, but right now he needs to move up the ladder. He needs someone/anyone who has a clue on how to run his career. Please get him a coach and people who are on his team that know what the hell they are doing.

#19 ·
I want him to move up the rankings again.

Like Rios, I don't see it happening with Pato and Nano.

Nano is nice...no doubt about it.

But "nice" doesn't cut it in professional sports.

Nico needs someone tough and who pushes him right now.

And he needs court time desperately. Nano needed to make sure that Nico had a doubles partner.

Of course the draw sucks, as always  :awww:
Good luck to Nico though :hatoff: just keep improving is all I really ask of you.
And its not like he can't beat Ivo-he just has to believe he can.....

VAMOOOOS NICO!!!!

it's not only the reason that he couldn't find a double's partner, it's also that his double's ranking doesn't help that much, all the double's teams that are on the draws have better ranking than Nico, that's why he only played in Metz as an alternate ... I remember this once when Fernando didn't play doubles with Nico on a TMS and GonzoFan explained to me that if Fernando would have picked Nico, they wouldn't have entered the draw ... so I'm sure it's the same thing here, Nico has a double's ranking below the 200 spot so there you have the explanation

This is a small event - not like the big events Nico y Fernando are in together. I'm surprised his ranking isn't high enough for Stockholm doubles - I've never even heard of half of the guys playing doubles there.

And when I first started watching him play (when he played a lot of challengers and barely made it into tournaments, let alone being higher ranked), he played doubles all the time in small tournaments.

Whatever.

#25 ·
And FYI, I'm not being mean to Nico. ;)

I want him to be back in the mix of things in the ATP. He's too talented to be ranked so low.

In order to do that, he's got to make some changes.

And get some court time...singles or doubles.

Stefano will be with him next year so he doesn't have to worry about traveling the world alone anymore. (Which I don't blame him - I wouldn't want to do that either.

So now he has to get a good tough coach...a coach who can get him back to the top.

The double teams in Metz were : the Murray Brothers, Garcia & Prieto, Germans and Austrians playing together, Frenchies all playing together, Italians playing together, Players from Eastern Europe playing together...So not too much choice for Nico to find someone...
