Is a normal compliment coming from a player who feels inferior. Afterall Federer is Nadal pigeon.

Federer just knows what the rest of us know - Nadal is munching slam after slam in a totally piss poor clay court era and will continue to do so for more years yet

it's Ridiculous that Nadal could end up with 12 or 13 Roland Garros titles alone, I mean he will win more than Rod Laver's total slam count and no one in their right mind should have Nadal above Rod Laver in a GOAT discussion.

Federer should be more worried about the US Open.
Nadal is way better at the US Open than at the Australian (where Nadal leads Federer 3-0 anyway).
If Federer loses to another Robredo (Round 3 of 2013 US Open, with Nadal waiting in Round 4) on purpose just to avoid Nadal, it'll be obvious.
I have Nadal winning 4-5 US Opens (another this year and at least 1 more after).

Here's a dose of reality guys:
Nadal has won 2 US Opens.
Nadal's worst result in the last 3 US Opens that he played is runner-up.
He won the last US Open he played (2013, he beat Djokovic 6-1 in the 4th set).
If you seriously think its impossible for Nadal to win 2015 US Open, well you know you are kidding yourself.
So that would give him THREE US Opens.
Now, would you be willing to write off Nadal if he finishes 2015 with the US Open title?
No, nobody in their right mind would right off a defending champion, least of all the only man in history to have won slams for 10 years in a row.
So Nadal winning 4+ US Opens is not something you can write off.
If he wins the 3rd US Open this year you'll probably find a majority of people saying he can win 4+.

Nadal is also favourite for every AO, yet he hasn't won it since 2009.

Poor trolling.

Federer major opponent wasn't Nadal nor Djokovic, it was ATP.

Cheatdull will probably surpass him because atp slowed down all surfaces and helped him a lot to win outside of clay and at the same it has penalized Federer.
No prolems to admit he's the king of clay, but on real fast surfaces Dull isn't even top five, top 10 maybe, if lucky.

In sport, when one is too much dominant TV lose $ , organizers lose $ and in this case, ATP loses $.
So they had to do something to deal with it.

Also, look what happened to formula 1, big revolution after ferrari 5 years straight winning.
Even now if one team is too dominant they change rules every year..
Sport is full of shit.

Who doesn't think like that means 3 things:

-He didn't watch tennis from 2003 up to now.

-He is blind

-He is uncle Tony or Dull

And if Nadal does I suppose people here think that invalidates all the great things Federer has achieved throughout his career. He still won all those titles and produced all this magnificent shots. Nadal winning 17 or 18 doesn't negate history. You congratulate the guy and move on with your life.

Winning percentage on a particular surface, etc. are all valid arguments, but when it turns into pettiness, where one fan base belittles the achievements of a particular player, then that just shows how little that fan base knows about sport in general. Achievements are achievements.

Its true, you can use it as contra-argument... why federer wasnt as dominant in his best surface as Nadal is.

And dont tell me clay surface is weak.... since people are complaining about slow down of surfaces which means more and more people learn to play a game style that suites clay far better than grass, even not being from traditionally claycourt nations (ex spain or argentina) hence they contradict themselves like fools claiming nadal had no competition in clay... meanwhile grass has competition where Serve and volley style died long time ago... and federer hasnt played grasscourt specialist other than in his early career the likes of phillipousis or Henman...

Nadal is so good in clay that he made the competition look tiny... take nadal out of the picture and everybody would be claiming a strong eara in clay with several titles for federer, djokovic, ferrer, Puerta and maybe even Soderling..

I'm laying all my V-Cash that Nadal will never win another USO let alone get to 5.

Imagine if Nadal and Federer meet at the US Open, it would be like 6-4 6-3 6-2 Nadal victory.
Remember 2013 when Federer lost on purpose to Robredo in R3 just to avoid Nadal in R4.
That was big time.
I remember in 2013 Cincy, Nadal beat Federer and after the match Toni said that Nadal hit mostly to Federer's forehand just for a change.
So if Nadal won in Cincy by avoiding Federer's weak backhand, beatdown if they played in New York with Nadal hitting to Federer's backhand.
I hope they meet in the US Open final next year with both guys sitting on 17 slams :yeah:

^ I'm certain Nadal will give everything he has to the masters, because that is how you reach top form.
You don't reach top form by just turning up at Roland Garros (that's why he wasn't in top form last year at Roland Garros, still only dropped 2 sets, but I think he's very keen to dominate the clay season this time).
We'll find out which one of us is correct very soon, because Monte Carlo is coming up (and Nadal lost in the QF of Monte Carlo last year).
Plus Nadal had a back injury this time last year, whereas now he is injury-free.

#145 ·
Who knows whether he is injury free ?! After Murray did make his statement about Nadal and media at AO we can not hear an excuse about his injuries. Nadal has a lot of sponsors thanks to the tennis so he needs to play whole season. All players know that , After Federer he is the 2nd one. If you can not play then give up of sponsors. Djokovic is a very consistent, Murray as well. His injuries somehow happen at the same time almost every year.

#148 ·
We missed you Slade. All that cursing and bad names calling Rafa on his wins. Dont underestimate him. Many have before.

Is he done? Time will tell. Can he pull off a few Slams wins? You bet.

It's good to be back.

I didn't underestimate Na dull - I overestimated him. After USO'13, I thought he would still win few slams off of clay, despite what I said. He won shit since then. The period between USO'14 and AO'15 was absolutely monumental in deciding who would reach the higher slam count, and Na dull didn't come close to winning any of them.

If Na dull wins RG, he'll be at 15 at 29 years of age. That means he'll be at 15 with a maximum of 8 slams play left. He will have to win 3 out of 8 to surpass Roger. We all know that he will fail, and despite all the harsh words I have for Na dull - he was a strong competitor for the throne. It's an honor to compete with Roger for this kind of prestige, and to come out 2nd or 3rd best is still impressive. If Djoker wins the CYGS, he takes Na dull's spot though.

23-10 is nice, but 9-2 in their slam meetings is an absolute crisis for Federer and it means Nadal only has to reach 17 slams to eclipse him for life.
But you know Nadal is going to fight and claw like crazy to get 18+.
Something people overlook is that even if Nadal loses Roland Garros in 2017 or whatever, he'll go insane and fight to get it back.
This Nadal guy could be around for an extremely long time, because of Roland Garros.
This is Federer's fault for not being as dominant on grass as Nadal was on clay.
And Federer had every opportunity, considering very few players know how to play on grass.
But Federer just wasn't good enough.
