Re: Ri-born Richard: Fall 2009 Indoor Season (Kuala Lumpur)
I think it's a match-up problem also. Richard will always hit a couple of akward shots here and there in a rally, but every time Pim-pim sees a ball like that he fires a freaking missile.

Missile
He's a powerhouse, that's for sure. Having said that I didn't expect him to get past Hewitt let alone Richard coming back from the long lay off. He looks like a man on a mission. And Richard just has to focus on his own games for now - anything can happen in a TB. Of course if he gets the chance to break then he just has to take that chance.
Re: Ri-born Richard: Fall 2009 Indoor Season (Kuala Lumpur)
Even though he's getting mauled out there, I'm pretty impress with Richard's fighting spirit. He is in danger in pretty much all of his service game, and manages to tough it out.
Wow just noticed Johansson wins almost as much points on his second serve as Richard on his first.
edit : ah ah second edit it's probably because Richard is winning 83 % point on his second serve and 63 on his first in the second set!
You don't need to have an ounce of a brain to play Pim Pim's game. Richie's game is all about feel and obviously will take a lot longer to get back. But also, it is off court work that I guess paying off.

Sad thing, even down 0-40, I never thought for a second that if Pim Pim would not miss, Richard will not break him. Everything in this match so far on Pim Pim's racquet. Really sad.
