Re: Main Draw...still waiting...

BBC Sport Website has this article...

Henman to face Novak

Henman has won Olympic silver
Britain's Tim Henman will take on Jiri Novak in the first round of the Olympic tennis event, which begins on Sunday.
Henman, who is seeded fourth, is in the bottom half of the draw and could meet second seed Andy Roddick in the semis.

Roddick plays Brazil's Flavio Saretta in the first round, while top seed and world number one Roger Federer takes on Nikolay Davydenko.

Justine Henin-Hardenne, the top seed in the women's singles, opens against Barbora Strycova of the Czech Republic.

Injuries have forced Serena Williams and Jennifer Capriati to withdraw.

I'm not here just to make the numbers up

Tim Henman
Henman will be looking to win a second Olympic medal having picked up a silver in the men's doubles at the 1996 Atlanta Games.

He goes into the tournament with a slight back strain but has a winning 2-1 record against Novak and remains confident he can challenge for a medal.

"Obviously with Roger [Federer] enjoying such a good year he goes into the event favourite - there's no doubt about that," Henman told his website.

"As the event is being played on a hard court I'm sure Andy [Roddick] will fancy his chances too but I've beaten both of them this year.

Academy: Master Tim's net tactics
"If I can stay healthy and execute my intended gameplan as well as I'm capable of then there's also a chance for me too.

"Even though it's amazing just to be a part of the Olympics, I'm not here just to make the numbers up and I'd love to go one better than I did in the doubles in Atlanta."

Re: Main Draw...still waiting...

Yeah, but Jtipson, Nalbandian has his hands full with Dent. Not an ideal 1st rd., after being off tour with injury for awhile. I am, however, excited of the possible extension of the Federer/Nalbandian rivalry. :D I love their matches, but as i said, Nalbandian has a tough way to Federer.

Volandri has Srichaphan... nooooooooooooooooo

On a clay court this match would be perfect but on hard we may as well say by ebye to Pippo in round 1. Some great round 1 matches and this is 1 of them IMO.

Hmm, interesting Draw. Finally Roddick has the tough one, Federer the easy. 2nd rd Ancic or Haas, then Safin eventually, then possibly Henman in semis. Now if only i could get a printable version, i could go to sleep, as I am in so desperate need of some :)
