well the NOC NSF had the rule that they had at least reach to a QF in tourment, and well the did try at Wimbly but they didn't make it.
Here you have to be nominated by the commity, with a good preformance, like Verkerk did with reaching the final at RG last year, then you are nominated, and well for this year you have to show then, that you are still in a good form.. which he did with reaching the final were he lost against Davydenko, believe it was Munchen, but not sure....so that is why he is allowed to go, also because he fits in the rules the Olympic commity make, be in the top 100.
Verkerk and Sluiter had to reach QF, didn't reach that so the won't go
Is Greg Rusedski not allowed/not eligible for the Olympics or something? Is it his ranking? He and Henman would make a wicked doubles team! I hear they're undefeated in doubles in Davis Cup, or have a good record, at least.
they didn't but Verkerk and Sluiter have to follow different rules then Nalbandian and Coria, this rules-to reach QF- is a Dutch rule, so it doesn't count for Nalbandian and Coria..
why players dont use the TMS to practice their double teams ?
cause some are not used to it... like Safin and Nalba for example, yet, they play together whereas in Olympics they play with their countrymen
well in case of double team Nalbadian/Coria -Nalbandian wanted to have some doubles practise, and Coria didn't want to because he has some kind of injury so to play then double aswell that was to heavy..
why does spain has two double teams??? those teams didn't win that much this year. I thought only teams who won an important tournement or who reached far in a master or a slam could take part of it
Are Bob and Mike Bryan the #1 doubles team in the world? I don't know that I've ever seen them play. I've also never seen Roddick play doubles either, I don't think. Those guys are supposed to be pretty cool. I'll have to check them out when coverage starts. From the looks of the tv schedule, it looks like the men's and women's doubles will be on August 21 and be on USA...I was just over at the nbc site and it looked like I can make a calendar and place events on it I want to watch....I didn't go that depth into it, but it looks pretty handy.
