This might be useless to some people, but I have decided to post some of the best current 5 set records.

The criteria that I have used is that they have played a minimum of 10 5 setters and they have a 60 per cent or better winning percentage.

Code:
[B]Rank: Win	Loss	Percentage[/B]

Robredo 13	4	76.47
Nadal 16	5	76.19
Muller 9	3	75.00
Djokovic	18	7	72.00
Kohlschreiber 14	6	70.00
Murray 14	6	70.00
Dolgopolov	7	3	70.00
Cilic 16	7	69.57
Tipsarevic	18	8	69.23
F.Lopez 17	8	68.00
Ferrer 18	9	66.67
Berdych 16	8	66.67
Baghdatis	12	6	66.67
Istomin 8	4	66.67
Nieminen	17	9	65.38
Monfils 11	6	64.71
Tsonga 9	5	64.29
Simon 12	7	63.16
Hewitt 31	19	62.00
Tursunov	11	7	61.11
Youzhny 18	12	60.00
Stakhovsky	6	4	60.00

If there are any other current players that I have missed out, post away but they must have played at least 10 5 setters and have 60 % or better winning ratio.

While we`re on the irony thing..>> wasn`t Krickstein the guy who lost to Connors in the 1991 USO 4th Rd/QF? match after leading 2-sets-to-love :p :wavey:
No, it was 2 sets to 1 and he lost in the stupid 5th set tiebreaker.

8 times.
The other 2 times the opponent retired.
That can't be counted.
It still counts. So does Lendl's Aus Open not count cause Edberg had a back problem? I believe it does.

Retirements can't be counted as comebacks from 0-2 sets down.
Of course also not as 5 set matches. They should be listed separately.

Or one would have to count something like
Russell def. Bruguera 4-6 5-7 6-3 ret at the FO 01 as a comeback.
That wouldn't make sense.
Even if the fifth set has already begun.

Retirements are counted in H2H stats, but not walkovers. In this case it's not a walkover and retirements aren't counted seperately, just the fact that RET alone indicates what happened at the end of the match.

The only reason you are bringing this up cause Becker did the same feat 10x as well and this discussion is going nowhere. It's not Krickstein's fault that Manson and Agassi couldn't continue.

Seriously back on topic. I have a feeling that Blake will end Berdych's run of 5 set wins and I hope I am wrong.

And George, you'll know more on this than me, but have Mantilla and Corretja officially retired?

If so, they should be removed from the list.
Mantilla hasn't officially, but Corretja has and Alex will be removed.

Re: Best 5 Set Records Active Players Only

Nieminen played a surprise 5-setter against Macedonia in Davis Cup, that should put him at the #2 spot.
Thanks very much for that and it has been updated.

Re: Best 5 Set Records Active Players Only

J.Nieminen - T.Pocock 4-5(4) 4-5(5) 5-4(3) 4-1 5-3 (Great Britain F11, 2000)

That match is counting for Nieminen's five-setters?
Futures events don't count.
