I'm not sure: I'm either going to that or the Fed Cup final in Gran Canaria. I'm sure the better tennis will be in Madrid, but I'm torn cos I reckon Sanchez-Vicario will retire after the Fed Cup and I wanna see her last match...
When exactly is the Fed Cup? Is Arantxa really going to retire after Fed Cup? How do you know? That would be so sad! I love her too! She's the BEST female Spanish player ever!
I know, she was the player that first got me interested in tennis (and in a way, I suppose, Spain) about 15 years ago...
FedCup is two weeks after the Madrid tourney; the last weekend of October. Nothing has been said about Arantxa retiring, but I just have a feeling she'd like to go out on a winning note, and that if she were to lead Spain to victory, she might be tempted to call it a day there...I hope not, but I wouldnt be surprised.
If anyone IS going to TM Madrid, pls post adventures and photos, esp. of the Spanish guys! I'd really love Alex Corretja to have a great run there altho he doesn't do well in Espana -- what about Juanqui then? He needs another big win.

If Arantxa were to retire, don't you think someone somewhere w/do sth special for her? Better check out the Hola! mag...
Mrs. B. you must be asleep by now! Check this out when you wake up! I love when Alex is pumped! VAMOS!! This was probably taken when he beat Rogi at RG01 -- he did say "VAMOS!"
Corretja plays in Hong Kong that is for sure, the rest I don't know, but I do know the spanjards are travelling together, and Moyke is playing in Tokyo, so I think Corretja will play there too.
But I am not sure of it.

The spaniards are traveling together indeed. I like that, that they are such close friends.
Carlos is really working hard. He will play non-stop until the end of the season. I think he's playing Hong Kong, Tokyo, Vienna and Basel, along with the 2 TMS I assume he will also be playing. JC and Alex has same schedule as Moya except these 2 aren't playing Vienna. BTW, I checked all those commitment list of those tourneys to come up with the spaniards schedule in case you wonder. Does make it easier when they are all playing the same schedule.
It's great that the Spaniards get along! That's why they're such a good DC team! I read somewhere that Alex was playing Vienna. I really w/love to see him play and meet him. He's such a great guy -- funny, amusing, multilingual, smart, goodlooking...
That's why I like about Spaniards. They are competitive when playing but they stick together otherwise. Maybe I'm used to team sports, sticking together is good. And we all know, spaniards are known as great claycourters and very supportive of each other.
Alex's playing Vienna? Haven't seen anything yet but possible. But 6 tourneys in a roll can be exhausting.
Oh ya, Alex is cool. IMO, he is the spaniard who has the best career so far. Ya, Moya and Costa won the big one, but Alex has been consistently good for so many years. Though I hope Juanqui will exceed all of them.
I've never saw Alex' wife, but the photo you posted she seems quite pretty. Do you have any other pic of her? Lucky her, Alex is very handsome.
Yes, I love Alex -- he's the best Spaniard! And he is consistent and never gives up -- has that fighting spirit that is lacking in so many of the young guys.
Still can't see her face, but I'll take that she's beautiful.
Anyway, Alex is playing double with Nico in Hong Kong.
