seems like this won't go away anytime soon. turkey is up in arms, pressuring nato to take action. assad apparently won't back down, neither is the anti-assad movement. i have no idea how this might turn out. i guess it depends on russia and china. if putin's demands are met, toppling assad will probably be a matter of hours. then again, putin knows the game - and obama needs to show his electorate that he's gonna stay put. if this article is anything to go by, things will heat up within the next week or so.
