Re: 2013 Spring US Hardcourts, Allez!

Broken again to lose the set 5-7. Shame, because Tipsy is playable for him but he hasnt enough confidence right now to play a bit more agressive and not miss.

Fun fact: last time they met in Miami in 2011, Gilles also lost 1st set but won in 3. However, Tipsy was ranked 44 then. By end of 2011, Tipsy gone all the way up to 9, even more impressive than Gilles ranking rise in 2008.

Top 10 Tipsy HtoH with Gilles is 2-3, so it's not so overwhelming as total suggested.

Yes, I have to agree this is his best match since Marseille, which felt like a decade ago. Tipsy did bring some good out of him, as much as I dislike Tipsy, he's rather useful. Now, I can't really bring myself to cheer against Nole...but Gilles will have great advantage if Haas comes thru tonite (little recovery time for old man Haas). But as much as I thought Haas was fantastic in his last match, I can't see him beating Nole. So good luck to Gilles tomorrow. Allez.
