Re: 2013 Spring US Hardcourts, Allez!

If Gilles does end up losing this match, it's going to be a pretty hard pill for me to swallow. Again, I keep going back to his match with Del Potro and seeing how good he's still capable of playing and then to see him still playing like this in matches is beyond infuriating.

Well, let's give some credit to Lorenzi, after losing the first set the way he did, he steps it up. After winning the first set the way he did, Gilles for no good reason completely lose his plot. Quite hard to understand what the hell is happening to him. Disappointing to say the least.

Re: 2013 Spring US Hardcourts, Allez!

Just pathetic. He's losing to a 31 year old glorified clay court specialist who is basically doing nothing special and employing his clay court game on a hard court. This after a decisive win over a top 10 player in Del Potro a couple weeks ago. Just ridiculous.

Very hard to describe how I feel now, I don't want to be mad, surely he didn't plan to lose to Lorenzi. But it's hard to not feel bad that he turned up such a bad performance against someone like Lorenzi. And maddening for sure that he wasted another perfectly good draw. Oh well, that's why he's where he's at, not at the Top Tier.

I mean look at how out of it and flat he looks. He just looks disinterested. Like he'd rather be somewhere else. I don't know. Not encouraging for the future at all. I hope he gets a coach soon and one who will kick his ass when he plays like this. Thank God I have Djokovic to fall back on.

OMG, I don't ever think he will win this one. No doubt used up one of his get-out-of-jail card here. No matter. But ugly ugly ugly match from him, any chance he can play better next time? surely he can't play any worse, I hope.

So glad for Gilles, even if he's playing awful he fights, but no doubt, he needs to step his game or he will get eaten by Benoit. Also It's been a while since he last saved MP's, so really glad he can take a mental win.
