The best part was hearing the commentators constantly refer to Ferrer as "the higher ranked player," "the world number 4," or "the Spanish number 1."

Like Courier in Australia, they had to go out of their way to remind us that he wasn't some challenger mug.

someone saying LaLo defeated Nadal once means he doesn't bend over for his master yeah at Queens, where Nadal plays a couple of practice matches, buggers off back to Spain for a bit and then returns to Wimbledon. That result benefitted both- Nadal had enough practice for SW19, and LaLo had the chance to go on and win the tournament.

LaLo pushed Murray and Federer far harder at the USO 12 and USO 07 respectively than he has ever pushed Nadal.

That's because Nadal is a better player than Murray/Federer

LaLo/Fiasco/Almugro bend over for Nadal, Wawrinka gets the lube out for Fed, Troicki also for Nole. This is not debatable. Players far lower ranked than these guys give their respective masters more of a match.

I don't think Verdasco bends over for Nadal. I think he actually would give half of his hairgel supply for a year to be able to beat Nadal at least once a season. I find ludicrous the idea of finding unnatural that such a dumb player loses to Rafa so many times.

LaLo just doesn't care.

The only one who has a little "suspect" attitude is Mucho, I'll give you that.

Because Nadal is better than those two. Murray and Federer allow those type of players to bother them. Nadal slays them.
