It looks great : maybe the chance he was looking for
Llodra and Müller might be tricky, and even Llodra might have been really dangerous, but I read in the French media that Llodra had a few physical concerns lately. He can still play, and is used to playing well with physical concerns, but doesn't look at his best. Lost to Istomin 6-3 6-4 in Eastbourne, a tournament he used to win.
Müller gave some problems to Nadal last year but he lost to Malisse this week.
Benneteau can play on grass of course.
One never knows but still that looks good comparing to what it might have been.
A whole bunch of accomplished S&V/grasscourt geniuses filling Wogie's quarter in the draw. Benneteau, Mahut, Llodra, McBandian, Isner, Falla can all play good tennis here. I think he will be tested in his first few rounds but assume QF appearance to be a lock anyways.
Good draw. But Roger needs to mantain fresh at the end but seen by other side heneeds one or two tough matches before the SF to get more mobile and angry.
Easy wins can make him arrive too relaxed.
Falla is one who playes well on the grass. Last year he did very well.
Llodrà can't give many problems to Roger - we saw it in the past on fast surfaces.
And if I remember as red he gave some problems to Roger at Wibledon.
So now the SW isn't easy - Berdych is better but Roger has to be focussed as his best
Why not a final with a winner RF and a runner JWT - it's good dreaming.
Now go step by step. Two weeks are long
Heck i hope Rogi isn't as nervous as i am. This always happens in Wimbledon.
Anyway what i hope for is that he will finish some matches quickly to preserve freshness. He will need it if he manages to come to semis against either (i presume) Djoko or Berdych.
So no 5-setters in first 4 rounds please.
Llodra is still in Paris because his wife is expecting their third baby : he will try to go to London way and back for his matches, but it doesn't sound good for him, esp. because he has to face Fognini and had some back problems recently and I don't think there's a grasscourt to practise in Paris.
Well, there are only 3 matches on Centre Court and Court 1 if my memory serves me right. And they had 2 ATP and 1 WTA matches on these courts I think. So I'm quite optimistic Fed would play on Centre.
I don't think they would schedule Tipsy vs. Nalby on Centre instead of Fed, especially after what happened a week ago.
