Haas, Tsonga, Murray, Isner ... all of them or still having bad season or they were completely out of form when Cilic beat them. You can say he beat Anderson who is in great form but anyone who watched that match knew that reality were slightly different.

Today against Djokovic, Cilic played good, was very aggressive and everything was going his way till Djokovic didn't raise his game and stopped missing. In the moment when things got tight, Cilic completely lost confidence and became too passive to hurt Djokovic. It isn't like Nole won 2nd and 3rd set because Cilic started missing everything, he won it because Cilic didn't sustain his game plan and allowed Nole to boss points.

So my point was that all those improvements which you are talking about look good on paper but they not existing when he needs to apply it in when it matters moments

Hope this was realistic enough for you
Their problem isn't it. Cilic did what he needed to and beat them. Only time will tell if he'll do so next time when they'll be in optimal form. But it's a fact there's not much players currently in better form than Cilic, and generally speaking I think that shouldn't be a reason to downgrade the player's results, rather to give some credit

I didn't watch this match, but esentially what you're saying here,Djokovic raising level and turning it around, don't see anything contentious here,Djokovic was supposed to win anyway.

We're talking about a guy who got straight setted by Troicki in RG last year.Compare last year, and the year before, and even this AO summer to what's he presenting now. He was losing to mugs left and right, who the fuck did even think about handling or not handling top players? So I wouldn't really complain cause he lost this one. At the end of the day, we'll see what's going on () in the next 7-8 months and we'll see who was right about this one.

+1
we'll see, though. hope that he cannot be this shitty for the entire year, the best scenario would be that he peaks around rg.

There's clay coming as well and without a Masters SF and GS QF there he's staying in top 20 max.
don't forget he's got the win over murray, which was pretty huge

PM me the URL son. I need to examine whether you actually watched porn. Let's face it. Watching nude scenes in movie Notebook or Twilight is not porn. I hope you weren't talking about that stuff.

Novak, the way he has been all year. At times looks good, others just awful. Still waiting for the machine version that does not miss or get tired to show up.

I actually saw the whole match even though it was so early in the morning having no sleep at all the previous day.

Anyway Cilic was simply astonishing in the 1st set as the score points out, he deserved to even bagel Nole.

I was thinking he could be lucky since it wasn't slam with Bo5 so he need only to keep the lead and solid play but ever since Novak found the rhythm, Cilic couldn't keep up with slower play from the baseline. It was amazing to see such a turnaround when in the 1st set it was only one guy playing.

This was Cilic's best chance to win I believe but he screwed it again...
And kudos to Novak's turnaround.
This is what separates him from the rest of the guys. Even when he looks like he'll definitely lose, he keeps his composure and wins in the end.

If Del Potro will have problems with his health that will happen. He gain the most points in last 2 months. He would make to Nole or Roger then he would maybe win that. He wouldn't loose to Gulbis. He is in reall great form but he stopped to play vs Djoko, for some reason. He would win the match if he wasn't.

Yeah, and Dimitrov and Isner have such a bad season. Haas season is bad, too. He BEATED Anderson no metter how close was that. All of, let's say, top players Cilic beat this season have better ranking than of the start of the season.
Cilic was really good in the first set like he was bad vs Murray on USO 2009.
Del Potro playe great vs him at AO 2010 despache he was injured.

He will have alot of chances in the future, believe me. He will be just better with new coach.
