There are so many great shots of tornados on the internet. That spiral is so lovely and so frightening.
Also I think people are fascinated by the strange things that happen in a tornado. A house is destroyed, but the baby inside is found safe deposited in a tree. Steel beams twisted, a pair of men's shoes on the sidewalk while the man wearing them was swept away. So many strange stories.
I love these big events of nature -- the earthquakes, the volcano eruptions -- all of it. Naturally, I wish that no human life is impacted, but that is impossible
We have the idea that we can prevent all of this or protect ourselves from, but we have no defense against a massive event.
Cellars are a good defense even against an F5 tornado though. Unfortunately, lots of housing doesn't come with a storm cellar.
I always am confused when something is labeled "a killer storm" It was just a storm and some people died in the storm. The storm has no mens rea -- no animus and also no mercy.
I have many of these too but after the kitchen renovation and I have a stainless steel fridge, I don't have any place to put them. They are in a box not but I don't know where is the box.
But Filip is a Canadian, not Serbian. Moreover, unlike Raonic, Dancevic, Nestor, etc. he does not have a Slavic heritage. His parents are Polish, like Pospisil and Wozniak.
Last time Nole played a slam final against Murray I was in Vienna and I watched it at the Hostel. Tomorrow I am going to Lisbon and will most likely be watching from the Hostel again. It must be a good sign!
The idea that a 16 year old can drive a car is pretty scary for me. Even if it's not my kid. But Lee Jr almost caught up with me 5 (6?) years age difference
