I really doubt that.
More likely than not, the Brothers will retire together. So, Bob will always remain 2 titles behind Mike and never get the record.

Don't know why, but Bob was not injured.

In first half of 2002 Mike participated in 4 tournaments(Sydney,St. Polten, Nottingham, Long Island) without Bob(4 different partners each time). He won 2 of them, and was a finalist in a third. For each of the 4, Bob was playing in the week following the tournament, so I doubt it was injury.

Other than these 4 tournaments, a couple of DC matches here and there, and a few challenger(3, if I am not mistaken), every one of their matches has been with the other.

Checked that too. In St.Polten Bob was playing singles. Other 3 weeks, Bob was not in any tournament(singles or doubles)
