De Bakker has secured direct entry into the Indian Wells main draw.
Anyone know how is shoulder is holding up? I really hope ha can play, I don't remember the last time a Dutchman played a TMS/1000 event.
Don't know how Thiemo's shoulder is at the moment. He didn't play Marseille and Dubai so I hope it's rested enough.
Haase is the last Dutch guy who plays a TMS by the way.
First round in Indian Wells is against Marcos Daniel. The winner plays against Tipsarevic.
Possible third round Roddick is the expected opponent.
Nice draw. Thiemo has to win 1 match at least.
Thiemo won 6-3, 6-3! Some nice stats from him:
11 aces, 89% 1st serve points won, converted all 4 break points and Daniel had just 1 break point.
Tipsa is next.
I saw that he withdrew from Casablanca, why? Precaution, rest, injury? He mentions nothing of it on Twitter. The tournament is very weak, hoped he would play.
De Bakker realised losing 0 and 1 to Nadal could happen to the best of players.
Now he's destroyed Falla with similar numbers. Very impressive, Thiemo!
After Rome he's probably heading back to the Netherlands for the Davis cup tie against Italy which takes place 7-9 May. I'm not quite sure what his schedule will be after that.
Also Rome MD is out, for which Thiemo got a SE after reaching the semi in Barcelona. Thiemo plays Troicki first after that a possible second round rematch against Tsonga.
