Just finished reading the thread on Tomic's Dad and I am shocked at how bad all of it is. Sometimes it takes something this bad for the child (even the adult child) to finally "wake up" and see how abusive their parent really is. I got to that point at age 24 and I decided that parent was dead to me. There is no excuse for what his Dad did. He could've killed the hitting partner, so then what would happen? Or would that be the next step? I hope Bernie's Dad is banned from ATP/ITF/WTA permanently. Bernie can find another coach, he can get counseling, and he can move on. I hope he cuts his Dad out of his life (not just as a coach) for good, but that's his decision.
