Kei, future offensive game master and GOAT. Already ahead of Raonic in terms of ATP 500 tournaments won. I don't think he can confirm in Shanghai (he looks a bit tired), but I'll be happy if he contradicts me.
That was just an outrageously good match from Kei. It was clicking in all departments and in that third set he just wore the resistance of Milos down. In the end, Milos rather gave it away as he got sloppy.
First Japanese winner of the Tokyo title and they are ecstatic.
Kei returned better than Murray. I suspect Milos felt more and more pressure on his serves, as even good first serves were sent back. Milos didn't play that badly at all, but Kei was incredible.
Like both guys so don't mind this result. Kei played the best tennis I've seen from him this whole week. Great serving, forehand and backhand on fire and returning really well . Amazing how well he was able to handle Milos' serves.
Now to match, it was interresing match and it looked similar to Berdych-Nishikori in term Kei gets almost everything back and in rallies he had upper hand, but Milos played again far behind baseline, but Nishikori was better player, good tournament for both of them, it lookes like he match-ups well vs Raonic, Berdych even Tsonga was outplayed by him at AO - his ROS is pretty good and from baseline can dominate those guys.
well let me be the first one to admit I've underestimated Nishikori greatly. This guy is top 10 material.
Really well played. Raonic was completely outclassed in the 3rd.
For the second time in a row, the Tokyo final saves tennis with a decisive bagel. Truly beautiful from Kei. Hopefully he can build on this into the top 10, his consistent bullying of big hitters from the baseline and phenomenal net play deserve to be up there.
Kei winning home tournament Japan Open and Kamui Kobayashi finishing 3rd in his home race, the Japanese GP, what a great day for Japan in sports!
These guys made my day!
