I hope so. Whether he plays Nice of not, he just has to find his form for RG, that's the priority.

Robin Soderling headlines a difficult section of the draw at the Mutua Madrileña Madrid Open this week. With Novak Djokovic and Juan Martin Del Potro out of contention, the Swede enters the event as the fourth seed.

World No. 7 Robin Soderling will have one additional opportunity to fine-tune his form before defending runner-up points at the French Open later this month. The Swede will attempt to rebound after an early loss to Stanislas Wawrinka in Rome.

Soderling has competed well this season, having reached the quarterfinal or better in five tournaments including: Rotterdam (won), Marseille, Indian Wells, Miami and Barcelona. The 25-year-old advanced to the championship match in Barcelona, where he finished runner-up to Fernando Verdasco.

Soderling may have to face Verdasco later in the week, as the 6th-seeded Spaniard looms as a likely quarterfinal-round opponent. After a first-round bye, the Swede is scheduled to open his 2010 Madrid campaign against either Nicolas Almagro or Viktor Troicki.

The closest seed for the World No. 7 is No. 16 Thomaz Bellucci, who won the clay-court event in Santiago last February. The Brazilian must pass through Pere Riba and Juan Monaco, prior to a third-round meeting with Soderling.

Other competitors in Soderling’s section of the draw are: 11th seed Tomas Berdych, Ivo Karlovic, Jurgen Melzer, Kevin Anderson and wildcard David Nalbandian, who captured the Madrid title in 2007 over World No. 1 Roger Federer.

I didn't see a point of this match but believe you, Soderling's serve indoor and outdoor are two different serves. Maybe he has problem with keeping concentration when the sun hits his eyes  Should talk to Tipsarevic or Clement, maybe they would advice him some glasses, would be funny to see him in glasses on the court
What do you guys think?

I'm going to watch Robin live for the first time tomorrow. :rocker2: (I'm Orka_n. Sorry about the nickname - but a promise is a promise. I'll change it back later.)
I think he'll beat Starace comfortably. I'll be in Lidköping the whole day of course so I'll see Vinci too, but this is sure gonna be fun. :) I got front rows seats so I'm gonna have my friend next to me take a lot of photos.

I took some shots but sadly the camera wasn't mine and I don't live in Lidköping like my friend who owns it. But as soon as I get the pics I will post them here. :)
Robin is on another level than Bolelli. Played good today, especially his serve was deadly. I've finally seen Robin live now :worship:
Also, Vinci is done. We all knew that, but...
