So many positives coming from this. He's a Slam winner and no one can ever take that away from him. He is back in the top 10 with very little to defend for the rest of the season. Actually I think his ranking will only be fair after Roland Garros next year, where he had to face Djokovic in R3 due to being ranked low for being unfairly banned. He is also 99.9% sure in the WTF this year, which is just great. I can't wait for that tournament, Marin with the elite, where he belongs.
Hopefully some good MS results are to come as well

i expect him to struggle as he adjusts to the new expectation. much like stan has, much like petra did the first time around. I dont expect anything from him for the rest of the year to be honest

Absolutely stunning performance in the quarters, semis, and first Grand Slam final.

I always knew he had the talent, but he was going nowhere under Bob Brett for a few years. The suspension may be a blessing in disguise. Well-done, Marin Cilic!

Aside from the very obvious improvement of the first serve, his FH is also much more reliable lately. It used to be such a hit and miss shot, capable of producing stunnign winners and a lot of power, but also often leaking a ton of errors even when he is not going for much. Nowadays, it seems as steady as his BH.
