OK guys here's the official AO Scoring thread. Only scores go in here and all scores go in here. As soon as the match is over, discussion/analysis/news/pics from the match go in the actual tourney discussion thread. We'll try it out for the AO and see how it goes.

Have fun and good luck Andy :rocker:

Re: AO Live Scoring Thread (1st round vs Dlouhy)

What is it with these Serbs and their strategic medical time-outs? Is that something they actually practice and train for over there? Come on, girls, end this match already so we can see Andy play.

God, I know right?

Re: AO Live Scoring Thread (1st round vs Dlouhy)

why is it always the matches right before andy plays that seem to be the ones that go so unnecessarily long :rolls:

Re: AO Live Scoring Thread (1st round vs Dlouhy)

andy looks so pissed out there you'd think his dog died. I hate this standing many feet behind the baseline pussying the ball to the service line BS so much :sobbing:

he's being completely outplayed from the baseline and just dropped serve very meekly

Re: AO Live Scoring Thread (1st round vs Dlouhy)

This is undoubtedly one of the worst Andy matches I've ever watched. That's not his fault, Dlouhy's hit 11 DFs in a set and a half, but Andy's put-me-to-sleep lack of aggression is really boring and disconcerting. You know it's bad when even Pmac questions whether Andy's "consistent and not too many errors but not at all aggressive" style of play is good enough against the top top players......and if he doesn't step up and in (literally) a lot more than this, Rafa will eat him for lunch.

Re: AO Live Scoring Thread (1st round vs Dlouhy)

He could practice anything...... net, forehand, aggression, anything. There's no way he'll lose this match at all, but noooooooooo  It's just poor habit-forming for later when this kind of play will get him eaten alive.

Re: AO Live Scoring Thread (1st round vs Dlouhy)

Andy looks crabby and very uncomfortable out there. It's a good thing Dlouhy looks even more uncomfortable.

*edit*

Nice medley of Andy's press conferences.

Andy better put the beat down on Dlouhy in this last set, I don't want to see Dlouhy suddenly get inspired and play like Gasquet at Wimby here.

Re: AO Live Scoring Thread (1st round vs Dlouhy)

:secret: Jankovic is playing injured and it may have something to do with her shoddy play in that match (and her decision to take an injury timeout).

Re: AO Live Scoring Thread (1st round vs Dlouhy)

Her timeout was for her back at a very opportune time. But so was Paszek's. That match was just painful prolonged torture. Plus, I don't know how much sympathy I can muster for Jankovic, considering what she did to herself in the Hopman Cup, knowing this event was coming.

Re: AO Live Scoring Thread (1st round vs Dlouhy)

broken serving for the match. Great

Re: AO Live Scoring Thread (2nd round vs Berrer)

Justin just mentioned on TTC coverage that Andy hit the practice courts after that match. Good.
