There was a thread suggesting artificial grass to prevent the grass getting worn out.
But I have another idea. Don't use Wimbledon's CC before QFs. That would mean a fresh grass for the final matches of the tournament. That could be done once the C1 has gotten its roof, even without the CC, there would be a court where they can play also during a rain, and TV channels would have something to show.
Even better idea, reduce the amount of matches on every court by 1/3. Then the tournament would take one more week, but the final week matches could be played at the prestigious Tennis Hall of Fame, at the legendary Newport Casino.
This might be one of the dumbest ideas, I've ever heard. Yes, let's leave the stadium empty that we just spent hundreds of millions on for one week out of the two week tournament.
Good idea, but won't happen obv for publicity reasons.
They really should do everything in their power to keep Novak from getting Center Court matches though. Although he is not a pusher, his sliding REALLY destroys the grass.

America having a much larger economy and much more soft power = British English spellings are used in pretty much every other English speaking country.
And do you really care about the spelling enough to make the same point twice in one thread?
It would be a great way to neutralize Djoker and Nadal even more since their footing improves the deeper they go into the tournament, as the surface becomes less slippery. If they decide it will improve Ray's chances, I can see them dispense with "tradition."
centre, center who cares. If you really want to get picky, both british and american english missed the point on this one. Pretty sure in every language that adopted this word (and there probably a lot of them) it is pronounced with the "r" before the second "e", meaning the "tr" is pronounced together. Like in french - centre, spanish - central etc.
In fact even english has the word central that somehow is pronounced like the ones in french, spanish etc. but still different to centre, center  a mess...
