The 2009 Challenger Player of the Year

The 2009 Challenger Tour has come to an end, and in staying true to the tradition that was built up in the last three years, it is time to elect the season's best Challenger player. This year saw 11 fewer tournaments being held (162 to 173 in 2008) with 111 unique tournament winners in singles. Additionally, these winners came from 39 different countries and from 6 different continents. In doubles, 166 players racked up at least one Challenger title. In short, many players enjoyed at least some success, and this means that there are plenty of players to choose from in this year-end competition.
Previous Winners:
It was also a turbulent year in which several players who started the year in Challengers rose to the Top 100 to get direct entry into Grand Slams (e.g. TBA), while some players formerly performing almost solely at ATP-level could not avoid sliding down the ladder and had to start playing Challengers, with mixed success (e.g. TBA).
While some of these players rose mostly due to successes in events other than Challengers, in this poll you are asked to focus on Challenger results only. In particular, when voting, you are asked to keep the following questions in mind:
