Kevin is listed as the 8th Alternate for the U.S. Men's Clay Court Championship. The list shows 3 W/Cs and 4 Qs as open. So I hope Kevin can somehow make his way into the Tournament
Who do you think will get the W/Cs? I really don't think that many players are going to pull out so he can get in that way myself. But he may be able to play himself in.
he plays on clay more than probably any other american so he should be able to qualify.
Mardy will for sure get one of the WCs... there are rumors Marcos might get one I dunno. No clue who might get the others... Sco, Amer, any of the young Americans maybe.
I wish American players would stop running from playing on clay. I don't know which it is that they won't play on clay because they aren't good on clay or if they aren't good on clay because they don't play enough on clay It's kind of like that old saying, "Which came first the chicken or the egg"?
Well I decided to check out Kevin to see how he is doing. As of 09/18/06 the ATP Site shows he is ranked #86 which is up 3 positions So he has made the Top 100 at least
Kevin Kim is going through a rough spell at the moment.
I saw on coretennis.net that he was the leader in the Loss/Win ratio ranking.
The guy is W1/L8...
He's gone down in the rankings from about position 95 at the end of 2006 to 124 this week.
You can check out this graph below
it's up-to-date
Come on, Kevin, you can do better than that!
Well Kevin isn't in the Top 100 players at the ATP Site as of 5/28/07. I admit I have kind of lost track of him lately But this summer Directv will be adding The Tennis Channel so may be I'll be able to follow players better
Yes he has been playing CH Tournaments. He did win one recently, but I can't remember which one But CH Tournaments are not ATP Tournaments so I would say that in itself says Kevin is not doing well
He started this year quite well playing in challengers:
1/4 in Waikoloa and Dallas, 1/2 in Besancon, and now he is 1/4 in Cherbourg... Finally he is making some progress.
