This is long overdue MTF... Provide links, examples, videos, etc. of retirements in losing positions. This will then be used as a reference place for them. I could possibly even make a hall of shame with the mugs who do this most frequently.

Yes! :worship: Can't believe there isn't already a thread for this.

Tipsy will be a sure leader for hall of fame, but there are a lot of challenger players (Dancevic, Pashitski, Bogomuglov) who aren't far behind.

I've added a bunch, a few are random Challenger results that I randomly came across. This Catalin-Ionut Gard guy is really sketch with retirements! Keep 'em coming peeps!

Gard :haha::haha:

He makes people retire even more than he retires himself. This guy will be an MTF legend soon. I wonder if he is still around

Mug thread because most players retire in a losing positing.

I like the other thread.
You're a tard of the highest level maan. I mean 1-2 games from losing as "a losing position". More often than not people retire in the 1st set or early in the 2nd...

And the other thread was a copy dawg, so you not be hatin' mmmk?

^^This above info was actually taken from here
Select a player and go to player injuries, it contains a list of all matches where the player retired or gave a walkover.
If somebody could extract data form here, it would be good. It would take too long to manually go through every player.
Maybe Beta2k could? Don't know who else here does this stuff.
Maybe StatRacket has some info on this?
I'm mostly taking matches 1,2, or 3 games away from losing. I'll add the bolded ones.

This.

^^This above info was actually taken from here
Select a player and go to player injuries, it contains a list of all matches where the player retired or gave a walkover.
If somebody could extract data form here, it would be good. It would take too long to manually go through every player.

Unless you know for a fact that the player leading in the bolded matches had a break of serve, Lodra was hardly in a losing position. And even if he was a break down, it´s very questionable to say he was losing. Also, listing futures matches from 1999 doesn´t really seem relevant.
