Re: What are GOATS and MUGS?
Well, I am beginning to understand this terminology now.
Okay, if GOAT = greatest of all time, then for me the GOAT is Lendl.
And how about mugs? I assume these can change based upon current form. Right now, Donald Young is a mug, as he has been losing a lot. Paul Capdeville is a mug, never reaching his full potential but still, interestingly enough, maintaining his top ranking in Chile especially with the retirement of Fernando Gonzalez. There are others of course.
Thanks for the clarification.

Re: What are GOATS and MUGS?
MUG stands for "Mentally Unstable Gimp" but few people know this. It's actually very offensive.

The MTF Glossary...
Its been most interesting to observe the MTF jungle and how they enjoy and discuss the goings on of the ATP Tour. MTF has formed its own language of adjectives and nouns to describe the players. After some time, I believe I can translate with some accuracy....
Pusher A defensive player who prefers to hit high percentage shots from the baseline, hoping for their opponent to get impatient and commit an unforced error. Pushers do not hit many winners in a match but keep their UE's even lower. Pushers generally have great court speed to ensure they can keep the rally going until they get the error needed for their success.
Ballbasher Opposite of a pusher. A player who goes for broke. Will hit 60 winners in a 3 set win when on but 59 Unforced errors. When a ballbasher gets hot they can take a set off of anyone on tour.
Servebot By simple definition a player with a great serve but all other strokes are below ATP average. Plays many tiebreaks and when hot can cause upsets, especially in 3 set matches. The definition is overused. Under the criteria used on MTF other players should be referred to as backhandbots or forehandbots but this is not the case.
Mug The most used term on the forum. At first analysis it seemed to indicate a player who underachieves and loses to players they should beat. A great talent who fails to win tournaments. However Mug is applied to every player on the tour at one time or another in the forum.
Fedtard A massive Federer fan who's only wish is for the Swiss Maestro to win every tournament he enters. Cousins are Raftards and Noletards. The three factions battle in threads daily.
The Tony Mafia A Shadowy organization that allegedly manipulates the ATP tour to ensure the success of Rafael Nadal. This includes slowing down grass and hardcourts, bribing officials, rigging draws, etc.
Birdshit World #7 Ranked Czech player Tomas Berdych
Bagel and Breadstick Losing a set 6-0 and 6-1 respectively
Ralph Wiggum World #16 Ranked Canadian player Milos Raonic
There are many other terms unmentioned. Feel free to contribute or comment to help complete the list.

Re: The MTF Glossary...
Clown: see Mug, but one who also loses in hilarious fashion, by missing easy sitters, netting easy shots and trying useless "trickshots" during important points (see: Tsonga).
Thug: Argentine player, David Nalbandian

Moonballer: Spanish player, Rafael Nadal. Also any player who relies on high return topspin shots to keep the ball in play.

I've always thought Raonic to be Boe Sislak

Another game for Milos: Standard comment when Raonic wins. Originally comes from Seinfeld.
