I guess today it's a guy like Sijsling. Amazing variety.

A few years back it was obviously Federer, with forehand ghouls like Gonzalez and Blake giving plenty of entertainment out there. Haas has be a constant in the entertainment department for sure, and he remains so today even. A lot of the Germans were back in the day.

Tsonga was spectacular early on but once he started making compromising choices regarding his game, he kind of turned out be another face in the crowd, perhaps a result of the game having a lot of similar gamestyles to offer in newer players.

Guys like Soderling, Berdych, Gulbis and Del Potro are also awesome to watch at their best but it seems that they themselves have had to make compromises to adapt to the new facet of the modern game. Perhaps Del Potro being affected the most, turning into a guy that outlasts guys in rallies or by breaking their shots down rather than being the rifleman that he once was.

Dolgopolov and Janowicz are far too inconsistent for me to give them much value in this category.

Default Re: Name the 10 players that are most enjoyable to watch

Half of my list is comprised of my favorites, but there is some variation.

1. Murray: Pleasantly ridiculous variety; you get everything with him. Some might not see it, but I also love how polished his strokes are, which is part of what initially made me a fan of his.

2. Berdych: He has an excitingly aggressive game, and he’s such a clean ball-striker.

3. Gasquet: He’s here more for aesthetic purposes than anything. Everything other than his forehand is so technically clean. I enjoy his improvisation, also.

4. Soderling: His game is just so monstrous. It’s amazing that he can hit it so hard and with so little margin, but with such consistency.

5. Sock: He has strong weapons, especially for his age, and underrated hands at net. It’s rare to see players go for it as much as he does these days. I hope the tour doesn’t beat that out of him.

6. Davydenko: When he’s on, his tennis is awe-inspiring. He has such a clean and economic game that any tennis fan should be able to appreciate.

7. Tsonga: He’s a big-hitter, but he’s so dynamic. I like the way he puts his weapons together to close out points.

8. Nishikori: He used to be too neutral for my taste, but ever since he’s made an effort to step into the court more, I’ve really come to notice and admire his game.

9. Nalbandian: I can sit through this guy’s practice sessions any day. He’s another clean ball-striker, and his ability to move the ball around the court so well is nothing short of brilliant.

10. Haas or Federer: What can I say... It's hard not to be impressed by everything these guys can do on a court when playing well. Federer is not as actively versatile as he once was, but when he is, it's quite something. Haas still puts on clinics every now and again. Both also have aesthetically enjoyable strokes.
