About time to start a new thread for next year, that's thinking ahead ;). Okay, it's not, just that I saw news of him committing to Montpellier next year, that's the week before Davis Cup in Vancouver, which I suppose he will also be going regardless of whether he gets to play. Also heard that Kooyong is talking to him, which is strange since I would think he will try to defend his Sydney title. But then, it's just talk, we'll find out if he's on Sydney's list in about 2 weeks time. But anyway, here we goes, schedule for the next year.

Wonder what his goal is for 2012, back to Top 10, I hope. And what his schedule would be like? Will he be more sensible and not to sign up for so many tournaments? He was out in first match in 9 of the tournaments this year, if he only played the rest 18 tournaments, he would have gotten the same amount of points :p. Well, okay, I know it doesn't work that way, he needs to play a lot to get into his groove, since he's a notoriously slow starter (both tournaments he won, he lost R1 the week before). But still, I think he played too much this year and burned himself out at the end (it's not just the amount of matches he played, but a lot of traveling weeks after week plus a lot of losing to deal with that are exhausting too). Tutu said they will re-think their schedule next year, so I hope they actually do and make out a more sensible one.

Sorry for the essay...just really feel like wondering out loud the questions I have in the past few weeks. So schedule, I will add the one that has announced of his commitment...

Watched both matches on stream.
1st match against Berlocq, good match to watch. Score 6/7, 6/4, 6/1. W/UE Gilles is 23/11 and Berlocq 21/13. I think he may have triggered some shoulder problem here though, either this or that his shoulder issue is still lingering because he started flexing his right shoulder couple of games into the match. 1st serve is 46% or 48%. I may not like his exo location choice, but I think playing exo is in itself a great way to train. He often said the things he did in practice, he couldn’t do it in matches. This exo match is great, he came to the net often, take his opportunity and was offensive through out the match. It’s the kind I wish he can play every match. And it’s a serious match, I mean, they aren’t just having fun out there.

2nd match against Monaco, not so good to watch. 6/2. 6/2. W/UE Gilles is 9/16, Monaco 10/10. His 1st serve is weak and not precise, and only 44%. Not much to say about this match except that he’s just plain bad, the only good thing is that it was done rather quickly.

He also played at Hungary before Buenos Aires, there goes my theory of him vacationing in SA ...He beat Tipsy 6/4 6/4. Soulage posted a news in the DC thread that the French DC team will have a boot camp on the 18th and 19th. FUN!
