Might as well start a thread for him.
Taylor Harry Fritz
Age:17 (28 Oct 1997)
Height: 6-4+ (was said to be 6-3 last year)
Plays: Right Handed (Double Handed Backhand)
Current Junior Ranking: 13
Current ATP Ranking: 1132
Probably our best 1997 prospect. Won the Osaka Mayor's Cup - World Super Junior Tennis Championships in October, made semifinals of Wimbledon this year. Received qualifying wc into the USO (Men) so the USTA obviously thinks very highly of him. Some of our fellow twitter friends who saw him at the open said he kinda reminded them of Sampras (with a two handed backhand). Taylor has a big serve, forehand, and a decent backhand that can do damage crosscourt. He might have the biggest serve of all of our prospects. Served 133 mph at Jr Wimbledon as a 16yo. His best surface is hard court (likes grass). Like most Californians, doesn't have a lot of experience on clay (weakest surface).
He is from a tennis family. His mom (Kathy May) is a former Top 10 pro and his dad (Guy Fritz) also played professionally. Guy is his main coach.
A little bit about his family background.
Osaka Mayor's Cup
Won the doubles title at the Pan American GB1 with Michael Mmoh
Won the doubles title at the Mexico GA with Andrey Rublev last week.
