What a match, what a man, what sportsmanship ! I'm following this guy since 2012 and I'm still amazed why he is playing whole career on USTA Challengers + some WCs or qualifiers on other ATP events like IW and Miami or ATP 250. I thought he can learn something from that Granollers match in 2013 at USOpen where he lost from a winning position in the fifth set. Today he just lost it physically. Wasted some points but he still won the same sets after all. Nadal was dominating him in the 1-st, 4-th and 5-th set anyways. Great performance by the guy. Hopefully we will see him more often on bigger tournaments. Good luck, Tim !
Since Halys can really bang the ball off both sides, I wasn't getting my hopes up for Tim but am very pleasantly surprised that he made it through. Tim's next match is definitely winnable, up against #300 Raymond Sarmiento. Keeping my fingers crossed.
I was also very surprised that Tim won. Now if he just doesn't lose to a player ranked that low
