What changes would you like to see in Wimbledon scheduling? I listed most typical complaints. I’ll vote myself later after some comments.

No 11pm curfew: I think there shouldn’t be that curfew. Matches should be completed in the same evening. On the other hand, I think three matches a day is enough for main courts so that courts don’t wear out.

Play on main courts should start before 1pm: No, three matches a day is enough and 1pm is good starting time.

Play on the Middle Sunday: Only if there are uncompleted R3 (or R2) matches. Middle Sunday might be good for ticket sales, on the other hand I’ve read courts need one day rest. And I like to have one day away from watching tennis.

Lights that don’t need roof on main courts: If that’s possible, then definitely yes, I’d like to see matches completed in the same evening also outside Cenre Court. And I don't like the break caused by closing the roof. But is dew a problem without roof?

Roof on Court No. 1:
Yes, no mo rain breaks. And that'd enable playing after sunset.

When Wimbledon built the roof, they only got permission from the local council to do so if they agreed to a curfew: the local residents put up with a lot of disruption when the tournament is on to start with, and this was one of the objections to it.

Same applies to Middle Sunday - blame the local residents who want a day's peace. I quite like the chance to catch up on all the chores I've neglected the week before. . .And they can't just suddenly decide to do it for unfinished matches - too many problems, transport, policing, provision of officials and facilities would all need sorting in advance.

Start before 1pm? Why not, all the other courts do.

Lights without the roof AND climate control are definitely not possible because of the dew problem.

I'm all for a roof on Court 1! But it would have the same restrictions as Centre.

Night matches at Wimbledon would be great but unlikely.

If that meant one extra match per day, that'd be about 10 extra matches over tournament, i.e. 3-4 days matches. That might be too much for the grass. Maybe that's why play starts in main courts at 1pm. And play starting 1h30 later on main courts allows TV channels to show less known players' matches on outside courts.

Henman said on BBC a few days ago that he is certain it's never going to happen, because the grass can't take it. After three matches of play, the glass needs to be spared a bit for the next day (hence the stop at 11pm and only beginning at 1pm).

Out of this list, it's definitely play on Middle Sunday that I want to change.

Looking at tomorrow's schedule they're starting one and a half hours later on the courts that have two men's matches compared to those that have one.

Then people say the women's matches draw just as much support...

You can't play at night without the climate control because the courts dew over and get slick and dangerous to play on.
