nadal is in the doubles just to get some competetive play. isn't Roig his coach?

Yes, doubles thread, but looked like a nice joke to see people reacting to see their names in WWW round 1 :). Anyway, I would favor Djokovic and Vemic for this one.

Yeah, seems to be a funny selection for Rafa to team up with an ex ATP pro just in order to get some official practice, could have choosen someone more much more competitive, yet Cisco been a good claycourter in the late 80es.....i would say that if Dusan and his partner dont win this convincingly i will be surprised.....

I REALLY hope that some livestream of this match will pop up......but is it wishful thinking?

I haven't watched it, but obviously it's more useful for Nadal to win here, as in case he loses his first singles match he can still get some hours on court, so very likely Nole just outtanked him. However I doubt Nadal-Roig stand a chance against Mirnyi/Ram, so he better win a couple single matches too...

FANTASTIC TANK JOB by Djok & Vemic. Losing to a coming-back-from-injured Rafa & his 41-year old partner.

:worship: :worship: :worship:

Players have been penalized for Even Less in the past if I remember well.

You saw the match? Why would Novak tank with Nadal being in his half in the singles? Defeating Rafa in doubles in his first match after the injury layoff would be good for Djokovic's confidence. Or maybe he/you think Rafa won't make it to the semis?

It was a great match anyone will tell you ;)
Thank you for the info.
Good to see Rafa playing again. Welcome back champ and good luck.:D

Sure, if you think Djoko wasn't tanking + Rafa's current knee injury being exaggerated. :help:

;) ;) ;) indeed.

 There were quality rallies, it really wasn't so bad
I enjoyed it, anyways, but I like doubles, so..

Roig is the true winner. 41, retired since 2001, fat, he comes back and wins his match against a slam winner and a doubles specialist.
