Although Roger is the Better player overall i.mo...Rafa has a game that is perfect for breaking down Roger's game..the match up simply cannot be ignored..

Im sure Roger and Rafa both are aware of this match up issue....but obviously they don't talk about this in the press or elsewhere.

Rafa has always been classy and praised Roger over the years. You might not like Rafa's game but the guy is an amazing fighter and deserves respect.

Whoever said Djokovic is a bad matchup for Fed is just flat out wrong. Quite the opposite really. Djokovic handles the big hitters and consistent players very well, it's the aggressive ones with variety that he has trouble with, hence Fed.

Rafa is obviously a better player than Federer. This sentence does not refer to their respective number of titles, weeks at the top, matches with other players, it only refers to matches between two of them. Strange how so many people, including some Rafa fans, fail to see this.

Well, a lot depends against who you won your titles. When Nadal was still developing and very young Federer won many GSs against mugs. I think if they were playing at the same time they would be equal or Nadal would have more GS

I don't care for this strong/weak era stuff. Everyone is a product of his own time and there is no telling how well he would adapt in other eras. Also the age thing - Fed had a chance to beef up his h2h against Rafa, Nole and Andy while they were coming of age, now is the oposite, they can make use of his old age. It evens out, roughly. The difference is, Roger can put a stop to it anytime, they didn't have that luxury, obviously.
The fact that he never had a lopsided h2h with any of them, at any point in time, except maybe Djokovic, is very telling.

Exactly.Fed doesn`t give Novak any rythm and gets him out his comfort zone.He plays faster and confuses Nole sometimes with agressive shots and suddenly with rope-a-dope style.Nadal with his cyclone forehand eats Feds backhand alive.Roger doesn`have problems with lower balls and he deals with them comfortably(look start of the match Nole-Fed WTF 2012).But when you put some air on shots to his backhand then he has problems and he misses or leaves short ball.He compensates by playing those balls with forehand thus leaving open court.Nadal with his super forehand is punishing this regularely.It`s just bad matchup I guess.
