Great race, best one in Hungary that I remember without rain. Shame that the dispute for the championship's leadership vanished.

Vettel has matched Senna. I'm not really sure what to think about that.

Nothing to worry about.

Though Vettel has done extremely well for Ferrari this year.

I guess it's partly a testament to how reliable cars are nowadays. It just seems like he hasn't had to struggle for wins in the same way drivers did pre-2013. Now he or Hamilton can hoover them up because they have a car miles quicker than everyone else (depending which year it is) and a less than brilliant teammate.

I've nothing against the guy, and yes he has been good this year. Shame Raikkonen's so far removed from the pulsatingly quick Kimi of old.

Edit: And I'm no Senna fanboy, just to clarify.

Maldozer is the moral winner of Hungary, so many penalties that even an England team has to convert one. Beautiful attack on Perez again, you don't see a greatness like that every day.

Agreed.

Also even though Senna drove the best car from 1988 - 1991, he still had Prost during their McLaren years taking wins off him consistently.

Webber and Rosberg did/does not have a race win rate to match their team mate.

Exactly. And I'm not being nostalgic as I've only watched races from the 1980s and early 1990s on video when I already know who won them. I'm fully aware that you used to get boring races and seasons dominated by one team such as with the Mclarens or the Williams-Renaults. The thing that frustrates me is that just when the formula seemed right, in 2010, when you had three very strong teams, they began to meddle, and the result is what we have now. To me it's not satisfactory to say that you used to get years dominated by one car/driver because we've seen that it isn't necessary for that to be the case. Between 1960 and 1986 no one won back to back world championships because it was so hard to give your all one year and still be on the pace the next (e.g Piquet in 1981 and 1982 or Scheckter in 1979 and 1980). Nowadays with the resources that's no longer the case and yet you still end up with season after season where one car is the car to have and nobody else is anywhere near. But between 2005 and 2012 that was never the case so it's evidently not a natural necessity.

What do you think of Bottas? I think he's a bit overrated by people who say he'll be a champion one day, I don't see it unless he ends up in a dominant car with a sub-par teammate but I could be wrong.
