Why should my country or any other country let in people just because they're poor in their own country? That doesn't make sense. Think of the influx of people from around the world into the US, Canada, Australia and many other countries if this were the case.

Are you a political Refugee? A skiller worker? an entrpreneur, an investor, you are a Canadian citizen and want to sponsor your family? Then you might be considered for immigration to Canada.


PS Poverty alone is not considered for immigration.

but poverty is actually a big deterrent to giving out visas.
