Default Re: ATP rankings - U18

Last week :

- first challenger win for Ignatik in Japan, but in a very low-level challenger. He beat Kyu-Tae Im and Huta Galung though

- futures wins for Pella and Wachiramanowong ; futures final for Berankis

- Daniel Evans beat Björn Phau in Helsinki

All these players were born in 1990

Robert Rumler (born december 1993) also went through a first round future thanks to Semrajc's retirement in third set

51 this year - there were 66 last year. Some other last year/this year numbers:

Code:
Last year This year
1992- 4/66 6% 1993- 2/51 4%
1991- 13/66 20% 1992- 19/51 37%
1990- 49/66 74% 1991- 30/51 59%
Since top 1000 is not the same relative portion of the total number of ranked players (1937 in 2008 and 1812 in 2009) either this year or last year top # should be adjusted, e.g.

This year (top 937)

1993- 1/35 3%
1992- 14/35 40%
1991- 20/35 57%

From those 13 born in 1991 that were in last year's final list 7 are not in this year's list, five of the rest are now better ranked. All those 4 born in 1992 improved their ranking.

Next year, eligible for the U18 list are those born in 1992 or later

U18 Titles final list in post #316, generation 1993 points post #313, generation 1994 points in post #267

Will do. I guess I'll stick to those ones I suggested last year, maybe a couple more (I'm Ariel_F there).
