And even if there are no news, he has left so many good memories to relive You know, I've "discovered" Marat just at the end of his career (Wimby 08), and this is perhaps the reason why I'm so bereft about his retirement. Imagine, if it's hard for you girls who have lived so many wonderful years following him, what I feel after this few months...it's like I've enjoyed it so much, I didn't want it to end so soon (for me it was soon)...It's a sensation of big regret of not having met him (and all the tennis world which I'm new to) earlier 
So for me it's always new, almost every thing you guys tell, pictures, quotes and everything.
That's why I don't like calling myself a Safin fan, because I believed I haven't earned the right |

Oh, sileithel! Welcome. You're a Marat fan, I assure you. I think everyone who's watched tennis are Marat's fans! Even those who "dislike" him, they're just in denial 
My sister supports Muzza and she recently joined the Safin fan club just this early 2009 and she proclaims that she's a super fan. XD That girl cannot stop saying how great Marat is circa 2002,2004, yada yada.

Everyday i follow your messages. My English isn't good enough but at last i decided to join this forum.
I'm from Turkey and i'm 21. Next year will be very difficult for me, i've missed Marat already. |

Welcome, guys! Not to worry Ceren, I'm sure Marat will be in the public eye for many years to come. He'll eventually get over his commitment phobia to exhibition matches   and of course there's the seniors events when he hits 40 (or whenever).  |

Your English is fine, don't worry.
I think everyone will be sad at times next year (especially for those of us who are still in denial ). I'm sure we will all be sad during the tournaments that we each personally liked seeing Marat play in. I personally will be crying like a baby during the Australian Open and the US Open series events.  No more hot shirtless pics!!!
