I couldn't believe it when I read the news about Robert's death on teletext. I have never felt that sad about someone being dead who I never got to knew. There are no words for this tragedy.

Foundation set up in Robert Enke's name

FRANKFURT (AP) -The German soccer federation is helping to establish a foundation named after Robert Enke and dedicated to the research and treatment of depression.

The Germany goalkeeper suffered from depression for years before throwing himself in front of a train one month ago.

The foundation will also help children with heart ailments. Enke's young daughter died of a heart ailment.

The foundation is being set up by the German federation, the league association and Enke's club Hannover, and will have a starting capital of about $220,000.
