Sandals, mimi.
It's hot in LA. It's much more comfortable. And the streets are clean. My hubby and my son always wear sandals when we go out shopping/dining

Hi Lee
Really? , for me, sandals are shoes that allow your toes to expose but 後跟 should be 有帶子連著, this one looks like 拖鞋 for me

Re: A new photo with Pete and his family
拖鞋 are fluffy and you only wear inside.

人字拖 is called flip flop here and again, depends on the quality. I have a few pairs myself, mainly leather. Almost all women here wear them but we also prefer to call them sandals.
Comfortable and convenient but not cheap. Even on sale, this one is about USD30

this one is of good quality and is wearable when you go out, but most young people love to wear those which are very thin and casual
